As a child I played and ate with neighbours, Indians, Chinese, Malays, Nyonyas and Eurasians. Each of their homes had a special aroma, a unique taste. It has always been - and still is - a thrill to escape into the world of grandmothers, and to be inspired by history and culture via each kitchen. Champor is a living memory of my family and friends"
